We want to know…

On the subject of football promoting itself, is it just us, but why is it that football is one of the few sports in Australia that insists on using stars from other codes to either be MC’s at football events or guests on football shows?

Take Fox Sports Matchday Saturday programme, why do we have rugby union/league players and players from the sport we do not mention on there talking about a game they really know very little about. Surely most fans want information and insight from people who know the game and are passionate about it rather than the jibberish of someone with a passing interest.
