A Real Role Model

It has oft been said that Rugby is ‘a thug’s game played by gentlemen,’ and whether you are a fan of the egg chasers or not, you have to accept that the Emirates Western Force’s David Pocock is a gentleman.

With the Melbourne Rebels now allowed to start approaching players as they look to recruit for the Super 15 season next year, he has stayed loyal to the club that gave him a break. Not only that he has stated that he will not talk about contracts until the current season is over.

He feels that the Force assisted in getting him Wallaby recognition and wants to give them and his teammates his full attention this season. Even though there is no doubt the Brumbies will come knocking at season’s end.

With a childhood hero of fellow Zimbabwean Gary Teichman who was a gentleman as captain of the Springboks one can see he had an excellent role model.

A quality attitude from a quality player.
